Grade 5, Arrow of Lights (formerly called Webelos 2), wear the tan uniform top that is also seen worn by Boy Scouts (ages 11+). In Cub Scouts, a plaid neckerchief is worn, with a webelos specific slide, along with blue shoulder loops and the Webelo colors.
Total cost for the two years of tan uniform including patches and accessories is approximately $127.37+ tax. Note that this uniform top is the same used in later years within Troop 121. Procuring a larger size allows scouts to grow into and continue to use the same top for several years.
When available, borrowing from the Pack of caps, neckerchiefs, slides, etc will help to reduce your annual expense. The availability of those items depends on those before you donating their un-used uniforms to the Pack. However, if borrowing, those items loaned are to be returned upon crossing over into Troop 121 or leaving the Pack.
Additionally, not all the items listed below are needed as one can transfer the patches from the blue to the tan uniform top. The above price assumes the scout is starting new as an Arrow of Light (Grade 5) scout.
The tan Webelo uniform top is used for the Arrow of Light scouts (those in the 5th grade). It can also be used in Boy Scouts should your family choose to continue scouting beyond age 11. We recommend buying a size larger to avoid your scout outgrowing the uniform before crossing over as well as to continue its use in later years. Pricing currently at $39.99+tax (2024).

The Webelos wear shoulder loops on top of the tan uniform shoulders. They are dark blue in color and represent the affiliation with Cub Scouts. Different colors are used in other areas of BSA. When crossing over to Troop 121, it has become tradition for the Troop to welcome the new scouts into their ranks by presenting them with Troop 121's green loops. Pricing for the Cub Scout blue shoulder loops is currently at $4.89+tax (2024).

The Cub Scout belt carries the award loops, and is made up of two parts: A webbed belt and buckle. Webelos earn pins rather than loops, so the use of the belt is optional as a Webelo, unless one wishes to continue displaying prior rank awards. Webelos have the option of purchasing the Webelo specific belt buckle as well. Pricing for the webbed belt with standard buckle is $14.99+tax (2023). Pricing for the Webelo belt buckle is $6.99.
