All Cub Scout packs are made up of various Dens with each Den having scouts of a similar age. Some Packs with numerous Scouts may have more than one Den for each rank. Pack 135 currently has one Den for each age group. All scouts aim to earn their rank badge.
Scouting can be started at any age or school grade through Grade 5. Upon entering our Pack, each scout will start working on that den's rank. Below are the badges earned upon completing all requirements for each Scout's respective level:
Lions: This entry level group is made up of kindergartners. They work towards their Lion badge.
Tigers: Are first graders, who work towards their Tiger badge.
Wolves: Are second graders, who work towards their Wolf badge.
Bears: Are third graders who work on their Bear badge.
Webelos: Are fourth graders who work on their Webelo badge.
Arrow of Light: Are our final Cub Scouting level, and are made up of fifth graders. These scouts earn their Arrow of Light badge, which is the only badge from Cub Scouting that can be transferred to the Troop uniform upon crossing over.
For each new school year that a scout enters, they complete adventures covering age appropriate topics. Once they complete all the required adventures, they earn the rank badge for that school grade (Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos, Arrow of Light). The goal is to ultimately earn the Arrow of Light. Upon earning each rank badge, the badge is affixed to the Scout's uniform on the left breast pocket in a diamond formation. The adventures earned for Lions, Tigers, Wolves and Bears are represented by metal loops that are attached to the scout's belt. Webelos and Arrow of Light scouts wear their adventure achievements on the "colors" which are worn on the right sleeve. When a scout earns all of their requirements for their rank, they earn that rank as noted above.
