Den Numbers

Den numbers help to distinguish smaller groups of scouts.  Our Pack is rather small, so each of our school grades is just one den with one assigned number.  Should a particular den grow too large, it may be split into two separate dens, both under the same Cub Scout rank, with separate den numbers.  Den numbers follow the scouts through all years of our program.  If they entered our Pack in Den 3, they may remain in Den 3 until they cross over after earning their Arrow of Light.  Upon reaching that point, the den holding the den number passes it down to the incoming Lions den.
