General Uniform Costs

Pack 135 requires all Scouts and Leaders to wear the standard uniform top, with the appropriate patches sewn on (or attached using the patch holder), Scouts wear their rank neckerchief with slide, and belt for loop awards. Parents can purchase the uniform from the Scout Stores in East Hartford or New Milford, purchase used or may also loan from the Pack (limited quantities).

The cost for a newly purchased uniform from the Scout Store varies based on the rank the Scout is entering. For current pricing, please see the BSA's Scout Shop.

As of 2023 pricing, the following complete new uniform costs for our Pack are as follows:

Lions, Kindergarteners:  $37.98+tax

Our Lions wear a Lion Youth Uniform T-Shirt and a Cap.  No other uniform accessory is required.

Tigers/Wolves/Bears, Grades 1 through 3:  $111.87+ tax (equivalent to $37.29+tax/year)

Uniforms are used for all three years and are comprised of the blue Short-Sleeve Uniform Shirt, red unit numeral patches (1, 3, 5), den number patch, Connecticut Rivers Council Shoulder patch, 1910 World Crest Ring Emblem, World Crest Scout Emblem, Cap, Neckerchief, Slide, and belt.  

Note:  Each year, Scouts will need to have the next rank cap, neckerchief and slide purchased or borrowed from the Pack.

Webelos I&II, Grades 4 through 5:  $126.87+tax (equivalent to $63.44+tax/year or less*)

Scouts for the final two years of Cub Scouts use the tan colored BSA top and comprise many of the same patches found on the blue uniform top.  The belt is also reused.  Those same patches could be removed from the blue uniform and transferred to the tan uniform top for savings.  If purchased new, the complete uniform will comprise the tan Short-Sleeve Uniform Shirt, red unit numeral patches, den number patch, Connecticut Rivers Council Shoulder patch, 1910 World Crest Ring Emblem, World Crest Scout Emblem, Cap, Neckerchief, Slide, Rank Colors and belt.

*If reusing components from the lower ranks (patches, belt, etc), the new tan shirt, neckerchief, slide and colors will cost $93.95+tax (equivalent to $46.98+tax/year).

*Please also note that after completing Grade 5, Scouts have the option of crossing over into Troop 121.  The Troop will use the same tan shirt as the Webelos with updated unit numbers.  Cost savings can be had as the shirt will be continually used until the Scout grows out of it.
