Camping with Pack 135 is optional, we understand that not all families may want to participate. The Pack participates and or advocates for participation in several Scouting America sponsored events throughout the year. For the health and safety of you and your scout, medical forms are required for all excursions taken. There are generally two types of forms, one for short term stays and one for longer durations (72 or more hours). At times and upon registering for a camping adventure at a Scouting America camp ground, different medical forms will be provided during the registration process for specific events and should be completed and brought with you for the nurse at the campground.
The below links are the standard forms that our Pack will keep on file.
SHORT Term Medical Forms - These forms do not require a doctor's signature. Most Cub Scout adventures will fall into this category.
LONG Term Medical Forms - These forms are required for any camping adventure that lasts at least 72 hours in duration. These will require a Drs signature and will be typically required if your scout attends summer camp (optional, normally reserved for scouts entering 5th grade). Please inquire for more information.
Below are samples of camping adventures we have participated in over the years.
During the summer, Pack 135 joins Troop 121 and many other Scouts throughout Connecticut to watch a Yard Goats AAA game, fireworks, and camp out with a movie on the jumbotron in the outfield. The Scouts receive a patch from Duncan Donuts Stadium, but have to be off the field before the sprinklers are turned on the following morning!
