Packing and Gear List


  1. Firewood (Everyone should bring 2 to 3 pieces)
  2. Tent
    1. Ground tarp (footprint) to put underneath the tent
    2. Setup a new tent prior to coming out to camp.
  3. Sleeping bags
  4. Pillows
  5. Chairs (one for every person)
  6. Class-A uniform to wear to Saturday night campfire
  7. Class-B uniform (Pack 135 t-shirt) to wear on Saturday
  8. Toilet Paper (always be prepared!)
  9. Soap and Shampoo
  10. Towels (for shower)
  11. Toiletries
  12. Flash Light
  13. Handy Wipes
  14. Plastic Bags (for dirty/wet cloths, tent trash)
  15. Water Bottle (required for hikes)

Highly Recommended for Cold Weather Camping

  1. Stocking cap (sleep in it)
  2. Heavy blanket (over your sleeping bags)
  3. Do NOT use an air mattress (makes you cold).  Thermarest type sleeping pads or foam sleeping pads are recommended.

  5. Sun block lotion
  6. Shower shoes
  7. Ear Plugs (to cope with snorers)
  8. Snacks (if you want them)
  9. Rainy day activities (Playing Cards, games, etc.)
What Not To Bring!
  • Tablets/Electronic games
  • Alcohol (BSA rules forbid alcohol at BSA sponsored events)
  • Tigers and Wolves cannot bring Knives.  Bears can bring knives if they have their Whittling Chip.
